SHORT BIO
Mariia Kopylova is a second-year Erasmus Mundus EMLex (European Master in Lexicography) Master's student at Roma Tre University. Her research focuses on educational lexicography, phraseology, pragmatics, and Russian as a foreign language. She is currently developing a multimedia educational dictionary of Soviet cinema catchphrases designed to support pragmatic competence among advanced learners of Russian. Her work combines corpus-based methods, learner needs analysis, and digital lexicographic approaches to create context-oriented educational resources. Her academic interests include learner dictionaries, multimedia lexicography, language teaching, and the integration of digital technologies into lexicographic practice.

Towards the Creation of a Multimedia Educational Dictionary of Soviet Cinema Catchphrases: Pragmatic Microstructure and Preliminary Survey Data
ABSTRACT
This article presents a multimedia educational dictionary of Soviet cinema catchphrases for B2+ learners of Russian. Based on a preliminary corpus of eight Soviet comedies and a 500+ phrase candidate list, the project proposes a nine-element microstructure with pragmatic labels and scenario-based navigation. Native-speaker validation (N=30) confirmed the situational nature of the phrases. A pilot study with learners (N=5, B1–C2) showed 56% pragmatic accuracy and identified contextual explanation as the primary learner need. The findings support context-oriented digital lexicographic tools for pragmatic competence development.
